Here are two works in progress. The first is a continuation of the LMS fan art from the last post. The second is a fan art based on a quote by a professional SC2 player. Earlier this week I considered re-enlisting in the army, but then I saw the World of Warcraft TCG Facebook page update featuring new card art and I remembered what I am supposed to be doing.
Also, my tax refunds came in this week. It’s always nice to check your bank account and find x amount of dollars more than you expected. I should probably start signing everything with ‘fenrysk’ at this point (so far I’ve only signed my work as ‘fenrysk’ for stuff that’d be seen on TeamLiquid), or re-brand to use my real name.

This is a commission I did for a friend of mine, who is a big SC2 esports fan and a Protoss player. Built the painting off of the upper left thumbnail from the sheet of thumbs. This is pretty much the testament of everything I learned this past semester from comp n’ color and fig 101. This is also the fastest image I’ve completed since graduating university, largely because of comp n’ color. I said to Marshall Vandruff, “I get it, 70% of the work is finding the right comp, the rest is just details and refinement,” and he was so pleased to hear that.
